Helpful notes

Questions worth asking before you begin.

If your question is not here, contact the studio and tell us about your project.

Which course should a complete beginner choose?

Cast-On Confidence is the best starting point because it introduces tools, basic stitches, swatching, and a first small project without assuming prior experience.

Do I need expensive tools?

No. Each catalog entry lists practical materials, and most foundations courses can begin with a modest pair of needles and a smooth, easy-to-see yarn.

Are the courses live or recorded?

The catalog identifies each format. Video courses are recorded for flexible study, while workshops and pattern labs are structured around focused practice sessions.

How do I know my skill level?

Beginner courses assume little or no experience. Intermediate courses expect comfortable knit and purl work, while advanced courses involve shaping, charts, or garment planning.

Can I save a course for later?

Select Follow course in the catalog. The ID is stored in your browser and the course appears on the Fallows page until you remove it.

How does the cart work?

The cart stores course IDs and quantities locally so you can plan a selection. It does not process payment on this static website.

What if I make a mistake while practicing?

Mistakes are part of learning. Fixing Common Mistakes covers dropped stitches and small corrections, and our lessons encourage pausing before making a repair.

Can I ask for a course recommendation?

Yes. Use the contact form with your experience, available tools, and the kind of object you hope to make. The studio can suggest a sensible starting point.

How should I care for finished knitted items?

Care depends on fiber and construction. Read the yarn label, wash gently according to its instructions, and dry the piece flat when appropriate.
